The great advantage of solar carports and solar patio covers is that they don’t require additional land the way ground mount does. As a result, solar panel carports offer a more efficient use of space than ground-mounted panels. While a typical carport or patio cover provides shading and is undoubtedly a value-add for a home or automobile owner, its one-dimensional simplicity is a missed opportunity. We serve the cities and areas around Paintsville, Pikeville, Lexington, Georgetown, Richmond, Prestonsburg, Louisa, Belfry, Ashland, Hazard, Winchester, and Inez. If you are concerned about efficient use of space, you should consider a solar carport over a ground-mounted system. Overall, solar panel carports have less restraints or conflicts than ground-mounted solar and can be considered preferable under many circumstances. How does a solar carport compare to a rooftop solar panel installation? As with ground mount solar, it is often assumed that versatile solutions like solar carports and ground mount are only meant for homeowners who did not qualify for rooftop solar panels. However, the reality is that these alternative options can often make more sense for homeowners due to a number of factors. Issues with roof angle, orientation and size are eliminated with a carport because the panels will serve as the “roof” of the structure, and the supporting metal poles can be situated as necessary once the optimal array size and angle is determined. With rooftop solar, homeowners often run into issues installing a big enough system because they may not have suitable roof area. Space constraints are eliminated with ground mount solar and are rare with solar canopies and carports. HVAC Maintenance Tips for Pet Owners
We all love our furry friends! But with our indoor and outdoor pets we must take extra care doing maintenance on HVAC units! We service all of Prestonsburg, Pikeville, Paintsville, Ashland, Salyersville, Martin, Hindman, Hazard, Louisa, Richmond, Winchester, Morehead, Lexington, and surrounding areas. 1) The importance of keeping it clean Dogs and cats shed lots of hair and create dander. Dander can and will cause unhealthy living environment if not tended to. Did you know that pet dander is the leading cause of allergies? Keep your furry friends bathed and groom on a regular basis. As well as vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining your living space. Always vacuum (with the hose) your vents to prevent hair clogs. 2) Maintaining your air filter Changing your air filter is a must to keep your system functioning properly. With pets in the home, it so imperative to change the filter once a month. Pet hair and dander will be filtrated through your filter, causing it to clog up more often, and even shortening the life of your HVAC system if your filter is not change frequently. Also, always check for exposed wires. Your furry friend may think that is a “chew toy” and can cause some major damage. 3) Outside Pets? Do you have an outdoor pet, or a furry friend who can get close to your condenser? Take the following steps into consideration: Try putting up a barrier around your condenser unit. This will protect your unit from your furry friend marking his territory or even damaging your condenser unit with his teeth or claws! Another benefit of putting a barrier up around your unit is it will protect it from grass shavings when cutting the grass! 4) Consider an air purification system Different types of indoor air cleaners are better at targeting different types of contamination. Having an air purification system can eliminate things like pollen, pet dander, dust mites and mold spores, so if these are the things you want to target, an air purification system might be right for you. At the time of publication of this article, it seems that COVID-19 is here to stay. With that being said, we have to learn how to deal with this infection in the most safe and efficient way possible. Our COVID-19 Ultra-Violet lighting systems are available for purchase and installation across Kentucky in and around the following cities: Prestonsburg, Pikeville, Paintsville, Ashland, Hazard, Winchester, Georgetown Lexington, Louisville, and Richmond. Our services are also available in the surrounding states. We are only interested in science based facts here at Eastern Air Flow of Kentucky LLC. Here is what we know at this time about COVID-19 and how it applies heating & air conditioning systems:
our professional experience battling covid-19 In June of 2020 a client of ours who operates a nursing home located in Lexington, Kentucky; reached out to us regarding their uptick in COVID-19 cases and possible solutions related to the heating and cooling systems located inside their building. In August of 2020 after a couple of months of research, we selected the UV lighting system that had the highest reviews and ratings from independent testing agencies. We selected a UV (ultra-violet) lighting system that been tested to an extent against COVID-19. We also researched and chose a highly rated disinfectant cleaner which had been tested to some degree against COVID-19 by a popular HVAC chemical manufacturer. We installed 16 UV lighting systems in the nursing home in Lexington, Kentucky and disinfected over 50 individual patient heating and cooling systems. This particular nursing home had positive COVID-19 cases since February. Their care protocols really have not changed any at all since early summer. The only variable that has changed within this nursing home facility since early summer was the introduction of the new ultra-violet lighting systems. Within 14 days of installing our UV lighting systems and disinfecting patient heating and cooling systems the nursing facility was COVID-19 FREE!!! We cannot disclose our customers on this website, however professional references and contact information is readily available for any medical office, hospital, business, facility, or long term care facility that is interested in a free consultation in possible COVID-19 elimination and prevention. about the product: The REME HALO in-duct air purifier utilizes RGF’s proprietary Reflective Electro-Magnetic Energy technology. Installed into the supply plenum of your existing air conditioning or heating system air ducts, the REME HALO in-duct air purifier produces Hydro-Peroxide plasma that is distributed through the air handler, through the duct system and into the conditioned living space. Unlike passive air technologies, which need pollutants to pass through the unit for purification or filtration, the REME HALO in-duct air purifier sweeps through your home or business actively purifying pollutants at the source. In addition, the charged plasma induces particles to coagulate or stick together making them bigger and easier for your filter to catch. Hydroperoxides occur naturally in the earth’s atmosphere and are part of nature’s process of cleaning the air. |
